What is driving you crazy with your kids?

What phrases are you tired of hearing or tired of saying over and over?

Just email me with the words "new classes" in the subject line and share your family's biggest frustrations.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Speaking Engagements

December is quiet, but there are
many more in the works!

I am now scheduling speaking engagements for the coming year.

I would be honored to be introduced to your school, group, or company!

The weather has turned cold and the holiday spirit is in full swing!  As you rush through your days, don't forget to take time to enjoy the beauty of this season and to be grateful for all that is good in your life.

2009 has been a big and exciting year for Balanced Parenting and me.  I'm very excited to introduce to you my first e-book, Potty Learning: The Do's, Don'ts and the Oops of Poops.  2010 is on track to be even more exciting.
Here's hoping you have a lot to look forward to in the coming year!

Wishing you balance,

Bette

The Joy of the Season

December is typically a crazy time for many people.  Holiday parties, gift buying, lots of traffic, busy parking lots, people coming and going everywhere.

The key to good parenting, at times, is pushing through our natural inclinations.  We might naturally want to lash out at the clerk moving slower than cold molasses with 50 people in line.  How about the driver that cuts you off on the road or takes the parking space you've been so patiently waiting for?

Remember to stay focused on what's really important during this time of year.  Be patient, focus on the joy of giving, enjoy the beauty of the season, smile at the surley woman in line behind you and turn her day around, give a dollar to the guy ringing the bell in front of the market, and most importantly, remember that your kids are watching you!!
